• Account info: your email address and display name.
• Content you create: lessons, folds, timelapse videos, comments, and their media.
• Only if you opt in: anonymized session data to improve teaching (off by default; Profile → Data).
• Basic device/technical data needed to run the service, send notifications, and report crashes.
When the AI coach is on, the camera checks each fold step entirely on your device: frames are not stored or uploaded. Frames for a timelapse video are uploaded only when you choose to share or post it.
“I’m stuck” tips, and checking a step your phone can’t check itself, use Google Gemini, a third-party AI service. We only do this after you allow it, and you can turn it off anytime in Profile → AI help. When used, one photo of your paper and the step’s instructions are sent; nothing else about you. We don’t keep the photo; Google processes it under its Gemini API terms.
To operate the app, show your content to others as you direct, keep the community safe (moderation), and improve teaching quality. We do not sell your personal data.
Content you publish is visible to other users. We use service providers to run the app: Supabase (accounts, database, file storage), Railway (our server), Google Gemini (AI help, only with your permission), Google and Apple (if you sign in with them), Google Firebase (push notifications), and Sentry (crash reports). They process data only to provide these services.
We don’t show ads, sell your data, or track you across other apps and websites.
You can turn data sharing and AI help on or off, block users, and ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it by contacting us.
Delete your account anytime in the app: Profile → Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your account, progress, badges, posts, comments, timelapse videos, profile photo, and lessons you created with their videos. Without the app, visit learnwithtacts.com/delete-account or email us, and we will delete it within 7 days. You can also ask us to delete only specific data.
tacts is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account removes it, except anonymous lesson statistics (counts of lesson starts and finishes, not linked to you) and limited records we must keep by law.
If we change this policy in an important way, we will update this page and ask you to accept the new version in the app.
